March Adoption Grants | Fund Your Adoption

Spring is almost here! If you live in a place with frigid winter temperatures, there are few things more exciting than seeing the sun and feeling the warmth melt away the snow. Of course, the downside for me is the dreadful thought of spring cleaning and, what seems like, an annual home makeover. If you’re adopting and planning to do some spring cleaning, we suggest you wait until after March.

March is a BIG month for adoption grants! We’ve identified 8 and included each of the adoption grants, eligibility criteria, and application deadlines in March below to help you fund your adoption. And…don’t forget about the various organizations that accept grant applications on a rolling basis which allows you to apply anytime, typically after your home study has been approved. We recommend that you make adoption grants a priority and an important part of your funding strategy. Be sure to research each grant and application guidelines, take your time to fill out all the information correctly, and put forth a lot of effort to share your adoption story in a creative way that shows your personality.

National Adoption Foundation	Amount: Up to $2,000 Income Restriction: None Marital Status: All Religious Affiliation: All Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must have an approved home study	March 15
Children’s Lantern	Amount: $500 Income Restriction: None Marital Status: Married and Single Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must be a resident of IN, MI, OH. If you are approved to become a Featured Family, you will be required to take their fundraising class	March 27
Be The One	Amount: Varies Income Restriction: None Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must have an approved home study	March 31
Ibsen Adoption Network	Amount: Varies Income Restriction: None (must demonstrate financial need) Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Special Needs (older child and siblings) Other: Must live in the state of Washington. Apply after completing your home study and after receiving a child designation or referral	March 31
JSC Foundation	Amount: Up to $20,000 Income Restriction: $120,000 Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must be adopting through a licensed 501(c)(3) agency	March 31
Love Has Come	Amount: Up to $5,000 Income Restriction: None Marital Status: Single and Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must have a referral and approved home study	March 31
Muskogee Church of Christ	Amount: $1,500 Income Restriction: None Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: You do not have to attend this church to be eligible. Apply when you have an approved home study	March 31
