October Adoption Grants

This is a huge month for grants! We’ve identified 10 October adoption grants with application deadlines during the month and that doesn’t include the various other grants that you may be considering that accept applications on a rolling basis.

As part of our ongoing mission to help you adopt debt-free, we’ve included the list of October adoption grants, eligibility criteria, and deadlines below. Review it now and use it to finance your adoption.Get your grants filled out and submitted before the craziness of Halloween sets in.

Don’t forget, there are a ton of grants that accept applications on a rolling basis which means you can apply anytime, typically after your home study has been approved. Direct, fundraising, and matching adoption grants should be an important part of your fundraising strategy.

Be sure to research each grant and application guidelines, take your time to fill out all the information correctly, and put forth a lot of effort to share your adoption story in a unique and interesting way. Hint Hint…Be Creative!

Adoption Grant	Amount: Unspecified Income Restriction: None but must demonstrate need Marital Status: All Religious Affiliation: All Type of Adoption: Domestic Other: This is an annual essay contest and one winning family is selected	October 31
Chance to Hope	Amount: Varies Income Restriction: None but must demonstrate need Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: All Type of Adoption: Domestic, International, Fertility Treatment Other: Must have a diagnosis of infertility and be a resident of Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee and have. Must be working with a licensed adoption agency	October 31
God’s Grace Adoption Ministry	Amount: Average is $5,000 ($2,500 matched) Income Restriction: None but must demonstrate need Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: You can apply at any stage during the adoption process. There is a $20 application fee	October 31
Joseph's DreamCoat	Amount: Varies Income Restriction: $120,000 Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must be adopting through a licensed 501(c)(3) agency. Applicants who have accepted a referral and raised over 70% of their cost will receive priority	October 31
JSC Foundation	Amount: Up to $20,000 Income Restriction: $120,000 Marital Status: Married Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must be adopting through a licensed 501(c)(3) agency	October 31
Show Hope	Amount: Average is $5,000 Income Restriction: None Marital Status: Married and Single Religious Affiliation: Christian Type of Adoption: Domestic, International Other: Must be working with a licensed 501(c)(3) adoption agency	October 31
